NovaLogic, the developer behind 1998’s PC FPS Delta Force and its subsequent sequels, has filed suit against Activision over the inclusion of its own “Delta Force” in Modern Warfare 3. As you can see in the tastefully photoshopped comparison image above, Acti’s Delta Force logo (right) bears a striking resemblance to NovaLogic’s – additionally, NovaLogic owns a trademark on the words “DELTA FORCE.” (more…)

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has crowned two sedans and a hatchback as Top Safety Picks: the 2013 Chevrolet Malibe Eco, 2012 Hyundai Azera and 2012 Toyota Prius c. The redesigned 2013 Malibu joins its 2012 model-mate as a Top Pick, and the 2013 earned a good side impact rating even without its optional side airbags.
The Prius c also has siblings that have won the award, the Prius and Prius v. The Azera had been rated in a few earlier tests, but in completing the testing regime with good marks all ’round it earned the accolade. The Top (more…)

There’s been quite a bit of brouhaha over at xda-developers lately about changes HTC’s made to the way multitasking behaves on the One X compared to stock Ice Cream Sandwich. We’re not just talking about obvious UI tweaks here — Sense 4’s horizontal, card-like arrangement vs. Android 4.0’s default vertical list — but actual differences in memory and task management. While we’re not running into any problems with our One X review unit, some users have noticed that background app are getting terminated too aggressively, so we reached out to HTC for comment.
