Intel Gulftown adopts vertical fan design

Although Intel and AMD has made great efforts to reduce processors power consumption,which is unavoidable for high-end modles.In order to support six-core desktop Gulftown,refer to as “Core i9”.Intel redesigns original heatsink,which changes from top-mounted placement into fan on the fins in vertical way.

Intel doesnt reveal detailed specs.Seen above,the cooler boasts a 120mm fan,four copper heatpipes and many fins. At the same time,Intel uses firmer and more secure threaded screw design instead of  traditional PushPin.By the way, Gulftown and Bloomfield Core i7 features LGA1366 interfaces.
