Gigabyte launches non-reference GTS 250

Gigabyte launched its GV-N250OC-1GI, which weve seen displayed at this years CeBIT, and although this card is the 9800 GTX+ with a glorified name suggesting more muscle, Gigabyte still has a couple of aces up its sleeve - namely the Ultra Durable VGA technology, Zalman VF1050 4 heatpipe cooling and native HDMI.

Theres not much to say about the specs, as the card isnt new, but the Ultra Durable VGA and the cooling is what should separate this card from the pack. The reviews weve seen also suggest that Gigabytes UDV marketing push is not just a marketing ploy, as it does a good job improving performance, but well reserve our judgment until we test it for ourselves.

The card is priced at $154.99, which might seem a bit steep, but given the non-reference cooling and other interesting features, it should prove to be an nice deal, provided you dont mind the rebranditastic GTS 250 brand.
