Intel postpones the launch of new Menlow Atom CPUs
Intel has postponed the launch of its Atom Z550 and Z515 CPUs for mobile Internet devices (MIDs) to mid-April, according to sources at MID makers.
The Atom Z550 and Z515 CPUs will feature core frequencies at 1.2GHz and 2GHz, respectively, with an average power consumption of 0.22W and a TDP of 2.4W.
The Atom Z550 will support Intels US15W chipset, while the Atom Z515 will have a choice of either US15W or low-power UL11L chipsets.
The Atom Z515 also features Intel new Burst Performance Technology (BPT), which automatically adjusts core frequency based on performance needs.
Intel declined the opportunity to respond to this report saying it cannot comment on unannounced products
