As we know, Intel will introduce a new chipset - B43 for business platforms in Q1 next year. But according to the roadmap, Intel shall start shipping B43 chipset to motherboard manufacturers from Dec 7th. It seems that B43 motherboards will hit the market next January.

B43 chipset will be sold at $37 per 1000 items. In comparison, Q43 is sold at $40 in November. Therefore, the pricing of B43 is slightly lower than Q43.

B43 chipset support Max 1333MHz FSB, and up to DDR2-800 or DDR3-1066 memory. Q43 supports 4 DIMM, while B43 only supports 2 DIMM. That is to say B43 can just work with 8GB DDR2 or 4GB DDR3 memory. Of course B43 chipset will also support some Intel upgrade services such as Fast Call for Help, Remote Schedule Maintenance and Remote Alerts.

Intel indicates that B43 is about to integrate with DX10 graphics chip. According to the information we got, B43 will also utilize GMA X4500 graphics chip. The motherboards will feature built-in dual independent display with integrated displayport, DVI and VGA.
